Steun op je handen en tenen. Je voeten staan op heupbreedte en je handen net iets breder dan schouderbreedte. Draai je ellebogen tot in elk geval 90 graden of iets dieper en zorg dat je lichaam helemaal recht blijft. Voorkom in elk geval draaiing in de heupen. Kom rustig weer omhoog en herhaal dit een aantal keer. Neem na een set oefeningen een korte rustpauze en herhaal de set nog een keer. Indien het te zwaar is kun je ervoor kiezen om de push up op een verhoging uitvoeren. Een andere optie is op niet op de tenen, maar op de knie\u00ebn te steunen.
